About this work

During the Battle of Muret (1213), Simon de Montfort prays with the rosary for victory against the Albigensian army. The Virgin Mary comes to his aid and throws stones at the heretical soldiers. In the background, a man walks on water during a storm while reciting the rosary prayer. The print has a Latin inscription with legend and is part of a fifteen-part series on the miracles of the rosary.
