On the stage in the garden of Versailles 'The Imaginary Invalid' by Molière (third day) is performed. On the stage six figures can be seen. In the middle sits the 'sick' man in an armchair. Around him three ladies. To the left and right, against the wings, a soldier. In front of the stage the orchestra in the orchestra pit. In the middle the conductor; to the right singers and instrumentalists playing plucked instruments; to the left singers, string players and wind players. In the foreground the audience seen from the back. In the middle front the king and queen.
