The King Drinks (Epiphany)

In a room, a lively company celebrates the Feast of the Epiphany. Men, women and children eat, drink and sing. In the center the 'king', a fat man with a paper crown on his head, raises his glass. Above his head on the wall hangs a tablet: Nil Similius Insano Quam Ebrius (Nothing resembles a fool more than a drunkard). Next to it a parrot in a birdcage. On the right a woman wipes a child's bottom, while an old man grabs her breast. A child urinates from his mother's lap onto a dog standing by the table. A man is about to vomit. In the margin a Bible quote from Proverbs 31 in Latin.
