About this work

The triumphal procession of Ferdinand after the victory in the Battle of Nördlingen on 6 September 1634. The prince in a war chariot, with captive enemies in the foreground. The central scene on the rear of the triumphal arch of Ferdinand erected in the Lange Nieuwstraat. Marked top right: pag. 108B. Plate no. 29 in a set of 43 plates illustrating the publication describing the entry of Cardinal-Infant Ferdinand of Austria into Antwerp on 17 April 1635 as the new Governor-General of the Spanish Netherlands.
