About this work

In the center, Mary and Joseph kneel before the Child who lies on a bundle of straw on the ground. Next to Christ lies a lamb. A group of shepherds kneels in adoration around him. The shepherd in the front left plays a bagpipe. In the sky angels on a cloud. Back right the columns of an ancient building. Back left, in a rolling landscape, the Annunciation to the Shepherds.
