About this work
Allegory in honour of the King of Prussia for his restoration of the stadtholdership of William V, 1788. Triumphal arch with Prince William V and Princess Wilhelmina before a monument, on the right the King of Prussia and the Duke of Brunswick. At the bottom Prince William I in his tomb. On both sides obelisks in honour of William II, III and IV and Princess Anna. In the foreground the heralds of the Netherlands, 's Lands Unie, Great Britain and Prussia and two trophies of arms.
