About this work

In a room, a young woman shows her suitor the door because he limps. However, she promises to respond to his advances as soon as he no longer limps. The maid observes this scene. Shortly after his departure, the man recovers and returns to keep the woman to her promise. Page from a book with text in Dutch on the recto and verso.
