About this work

View of a hilly landscape where Diana and her nymphs are bathing in a river. At the river stands the young hunter Actaeon with his dogs. The nymphs tried to protect Diana as best as possible from Actaeon's gaze. Because Actaeon saw Diana naked anyway, she immediately turned him into a stag as punishment.
