About this work
Mary kneels before her bed and reads a book. She is visited by the angel Gabriel. He tells her that she will bear a son who shall be called Christ. Above in the clouds the face of God sending the Holy Spirit (a dove) to Mary. The print is part of a thirty-part series with prints about the Fall and Christ's life and passion.
