About this work

The Saint George Fair. A peasant fair on the square in a Flemish peasant village. On the right, an inn with a banner of the Saint George shooters; on the left, a peasant cart. In front of the church, a theatrical scene is being performed in which George attacks the dragon. In the background on the right, a theatrical performance or a quack doctor on a platform; on the left, shooting at a parrot at a mill. Further on, much dancing, making music, feasting, eating and drinking, and fighting.
