About this work

Bacchanalian scene in frieze form with bacchantes and satyrs. To the right of the center stands a large wine vat to which baskets of grapes are being brought. In the middle below lies a woman letting wine flow from the vat into a basin; to her right a satyr lies on the ground and to her left music is being made.
