About this work

Bacchanalian scene in frieze form with bacchantes and satyrs. In the center an old satyr is crowned, carried in a basket and followed by a procession of bacchantes; in front of him two figures make music. In the background the base of a statue is visible, to which other bacchantes bring an offering.
