About this work
Cornelia and her husband Tiberius Sempronius Gracchus are depicted indoors. Gracchus kills two snakes to the left, to the right Cornelia sits in the midst of three women doing needlework. In the margin under the scene is a text in Latin, numbered in the lower right mirrored: 6. The print is part of a series of prints depicting events from Roman history.
