About this work

Ferdinand's sea voyage from Barcelona to Genoa in Italy (April 11 - May 5, 1633). Ferdinand of Austria in a galley rowed by enslaved men. Angels in the sky, sea creatures in the water. Depiction in the upper left on the front of the triumphal arch Arcus Fernandi on the Vrijdagmarkt. Sheet no. 7 in a set of 42 plates illustrating the publication of the description of the entry of Cardinal-Infant Ferdinand of Austria in Ghent on January 28, 1635, as the new Governor-General of the Spanish Netherlands.
