About this work
Sheet with at the top a portrait of Maurice in a medallion, on either side two allegorical figures of History and Science; lower down various Dutch verses and proverbs, between them a shield of the Republic with the arms of the united provinces; below his own arms in the Orange Tree with motto and dating 1612. On the left and right sides and at the bottom medallions in which his victories from 1588 to 1607 are depicted small.
