About this work
Rinaldo rests in the lap of the young Armida. He gazes into her eyes at his own reflection. She looks into a mirror held up by a putto. Thus they both behold their own loving appearance. The two knights who were searching for Rinaldo look on from the bushes. In the margin an eight-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
