About this work
Fifth print in a series of eight depictions of the life of Johan and Cornelis de Witt. All prints are by Gaspar Bouttats and have a verse of four or two lines. The depiction shows the outbreak of skirmishes between soldiers and the citizens of The Hague, 1672.
