About this work

Political caricature on the departure of the French from the Netherlands, 1815. In a long procession caricatured Catholic clergymen, a turkey, a war veteran, hunters and a smith with shackles depart. The procession preceded by two boys mockingly waving censers. With legend 1-13 in French. Accompanying the print a handwritten description on four pages in French (and partly Dutch) and two sheets with printed descriptions in Dutch and French (both dated September 1815).
