About this work
The Duke of Brunswick hangs upside down like a slaughtered pig on a ladder. A patriot pinches the bladder from which wine flows onto the floor, a dog (the prince) licks up the liquid. On the right, another patriot holds the heart of the duke. Kaat Mossel points in alarm at the carcass, from which the man's genitals are missing. Print from the pamphlet Patriotsche Slagttyd, 1784.
