About this work

The crucifixion of Christ on Mount Golgotha with the sun in the top left. Under the cross of Christ are Mary, Mary Magdalene and the Saint John. At the foot of the cross lies a skull. Left behind the cross of Christ a man pours wine from a wine vat into a bucket and right stands the sponge-bearer (Stefaton). In the background a view of Jerusalem. Under the representation a coat of arms. With a header of one line in Latin and in the margin a two-line inscription in Latin.
