Allegory of Sloth

Kitchen interior with figures typifying different kinds of comfort. In the center sits the personification of 'Comfort', as a young woman with a dog on her lap, her foot resting on a fire grate on which her name. A boy pours water from a jug into the cup she holds. She has a good life because both representatives of the clergy and those of the worldly life choose her: comfort. Old age, however, lives in cold and poverty. Only those who seek the kingdom of God will come to heaven. In the inscriptions the different figures speak, making the meaning of the image clear.
