About this work
Count Dirk IV is lured into a trap and killed by a poisoned arrow during a battle at Dordrecht (or Vlaardingen) on 14 January 1049. In the middle at the bottom Dirk IV collapses among his soldiers. Fighting takes place in the streets of the city.
