About this work

Arrival of Prince William Frederick on the beach of Scheveningen, 30 November 1813, to assume the government of the country as sovereign prince. The prince standing in a farmer's wagon, to the left the fishing pink 'De Jonge Karolina' which brought him to the coast. On the beach, an enthusiastic crowd greets the prince.
