About this work
The States' troops under the command of Helling and Ruychaver are defeated by the Amsterdamers in fierce fighting on the Dam. Helling himself loses his life in the process, 23 November 1577. With a 14-line inscription in German. Numbered 139 in the lower left. The print is part of an album.
