Maastricht captured and plundered by the army of the Duke of Parma, 29 June 1579. View of the bridge over the Meuse where many are jumping into the water in an attempt to save their lives. In the background the soldiers are marching through the city killing. With a caption of 12 lines in German and 2 lines in French. Numbered 161 in the lower left. The print is part of an album.
