About this work
Relief of the fort Knodsenburg which was besieged by Parma by the army of Maurice, 25 July 1591. The depiction shows the siege of the fort, the battles between the armies and the retreat of the Spanish army under Parma. At the bottom Nijmegen, at the top Arnhem, in the middle the Waal. With an inscription of 12 lines in German and 3 lines in French. Numbered in the lower left: 274. The print is part of an album.
