War and tyranny plague the Netherlands during the French occupation. Large blazing fire in which war, envy and tyranny rage and innocent citizens are murdered. Left a Roman Catholic mass, right the signing of peace between Brandenburg and France. Allegory on the political situation in the Republic in the year 1674. Numbered top right: 4.
