About this work
Satirical print on Münster (and Cologne) after the conclusion of the peace between the Republic and England, 1674. A Dutchman cuts the throat of a pig (Münster). In the background, a bird merchant (Germany) catches and plucks the rooster (France), and a wolf (Cologne) is driven away. Bottom center a cartouche with a verse of 6 lines in Dutch.
