About this work
Saint Valentinus, bishop of Passau, sits as a hermit in a hut reading a Bible before a crucifix. On the ground lie a bishop's mitre and staff. In the background, bottom left, Saint Valentinus heals a sick person. The print has a Latin inscription and is the ninth print of a 60-part series on the saints of Bavaria.
