About this work
At the court of Emperor Henry the Holy, Saint Cunegundes of Luxembourg walks over twelve glowing ploughshares without burning her feet. Thus she proves her virginity after an accusation of infidelity. The print has a Latin inscription and is the thirty-ninth print of a 60-part series on the saints of Bavaria.
