About this work

Lodewijk van der Kethulle, lord of Ryhove, defeats the Spanish rider (the Albanian, from the army of Alva) in a duel outside Deventer, 1591. The defeated Spaniard gives the winner his golden chain. Below the representation a verse of 4 lines in Dutch.
