The meeting with a Russian lodja, 12 August 1597. The boat lies alongside the Russian ship where the Dutch buy food and receive information about their course. Copies of the original illustrations from the travel report of the voyage of Willem Barendsz and Jacob van Heemskerck in 1596-1597 and the stay on the island of Nova Zembla, No. 28.
