Village headman of the village of Dampin on the island of Sumatra, 1596. The village headman accompanied by a bearer with an umbrella and an escort of warriors. Prints from the engraved plates for the original illustrations in the travel account of the First Voyage of Cornelis de Houtman to the East Indies in 1595–1597. No. 10.
