About this work
Landing of boats with Dutch at the town of Annobon, 17 December 1598. The Portuguese and the local population set the village on fire and flee to the mountains. Off the coast lie the five ships. Copies after the original illustrations in the report of the Voyage through the Strait of Magellan to the East Indies by Sebald de Weert under Mahu and De Cordes, 1598–1600. No. 4.
