About this work

Siege of the city of Haarlem in the years 1572-1573 by the Spaniards under Fadrique Alvarez de Toledo (Don Frederik), son of the Duke of Alba. Large representation with a view of the city from the north, in print after a contemporary drawing in three sheets. At the bottom center the coat of arms of Haarlem. On the right the Huis ter Kleef, in the distance the Sint Bavo. Below the representation the titles and legends 1-35 in Dutch and French.
