About this work
Failed attempts by Archduke Albert to relieve Grave. Sheet with two plates: above the arrival of the Spanish army at the fortifications of the States' Army, below the retreat of the Spanish army with muffled drums. Part of the events surrounding the siege and capture of the town of Grave by the States' Army under Prince Maurice, 18 July – 20 September 1602. In the upper part three cartouches with inscriptions in Dutch, French and Latin.
