About this work
The annual festive procession of lepers with clappers on Koppermaandag (the first Monday after Epiphany) stops at the door of a house in a village, ca. 1608. In the foreground children playing; in the procession a man with a drum, a man drinking from a jug, and a man with a kind of homemade movable frame on a stick, with puppets among bushes with apples. With a caption of six lines in Dutch.
