About this work
Capture of a wonderful sea-man in the water of the Skagerrak between Denmark and Norway, 1621. A naked man with long hair and beard, carrying two bundles of straw under his arms, walking in the water. In the foreground how the man is fished out of the water with a rowing boat, in the background he jumps overboard from a large ship again. Below the plate the description in 2 columns in Dutch.
