About this work

Satirical print on the struggle for Schenckenschans in the years 1635-1636. Frederick Henry and Cardinal Infant Ferdinand are gambling at a table for the fort. Also present are the Pope, the Bishops of Mainz and Cologne, the King of Spain, the Emperor, the King of France and Cardinal Richelieu. Victims of the game are the Cleves and Guelders peasants who are screaming under the table. The print comes with a loose text sheet.
