About this work

The murder committed on Sebastiaen de la Ruelle, burgomaster of Liège, by Reinier van Renes, count de Warfusé, who wanted to bring the city under Spanish rule from France, 16 April 1637. The murderer was arrested by citizens and killed and his body was then dragged to the gallows. Sheet with the events in 5 depictions with portraits of the main characters. Below the image a description of the events in 3 columns in German.
