About this work
Large representation of the Battle of the Downs between the Spanish fleet under the command of Antonio de Oquendo and the States fleet under Maarten Harpertsz. Tromp, 21 October 1639. Sheet 1: sea battles, in the background the cliffs of Dover. Bottom left an inset with a representation of the battle orders of the fleets before the Downs preceding the battle. Unmounted ensemble consisting of 7 numbered plates, the black strips with the title and text sheet with the description.
