Satirical print on the Second Jacobite Rising in 1745. Square with the Admiralty building, St James's Palace and Westminster Abbey, before which the carriage of the young pretender Charles Edward Stuart, drawn by galloping horses, is driven by the French king Louis XV and preceded by the Pope on the horse Unbelief and a Jesuit with a banner of the Inquisition. The carriage is followed by an army of Scots. In the background scenes of Catholic persecution of Protestants. In the sky a partial solar eclipse. At the bottom a medallion with the portrait of Charles Edward Stuart with a jester's cap, with two six-line verses in Dutch on either side.
