Siege and capture of the fort Mardijk near the town of Mardijk near Dunkirk, 22 June – 9 July 1645, by the French army under Gaston, Duke of Orléans, against the Spaniards. At the top, a profile of the fort Mardijk on the beach with the rampart Het Houten Wambus; below, a plan of the fort and the surrounding land with the camps of the besiegers. The fort surrounded by the French army, at sea blocked by Dutch ships. A text sheet belongs to this print.
