About this work

Satirical print on the Spaniards, 1645. A Spanish rooster has its feathers plucked by French, Dutch, and Portuguese roosters. In the sky, a Turkish falcon and a falcon from Granada. On the ground lie feathers referring to cities Spain has previously lost. Below the print, a text sheet is pasted with text in 4 columns with the legend A-G and 1-5 in Dutch. With a pen, number 6 Hulst has been added to the legend.
