About this work

Naval battle at Dungeness (the Battle of the Singels) off the English coast near Dover in the First English War between the States' fleet under Maarten Tromp and the English fleet under Robert Blake, 10 December 1652. Centrally the fight of the admiral's ship the Brederode of Tromp in combat with the English ships Bonaventure and de Rozenkans. From the right, the ship of Vice-Admiral Johan Evertsen comes to help.
