About this work

Naval battle at Dungeness (the Battle of the Singels) off the English coast near Dover in the First Anglo-Dutch War between the States Navy under Maarten Tromp and the English Navy under Robert Blake, 10 December 1652. Centrally, the engagement of Tromp's flagship Brederode with the English ships Bonaventure and Rozenkans. From the right, the ship of Vice-Admiral Johan Evertsen comes to the rescue.
