About this work

The departure of the English King Charles II from Scheveningen to England, 2 June 1660. Episode during his tour of and departure from the Netherlands. On the left the carriages with the king and his retinue, on the right horsemen, cannons and spectators on the dunes. At sea the ships are waiting to take the king to England. In the air putti and Fame with the coat of arms of the English king and a scroll with a Latin motto.
