Title page for: Dutch Revival, or the Awakened Lion, 1673. Allegorical depiction of the position of the Republic during the first half of 1673. The Dutch Garden attacked on all sides by the English, Münster, and the French King Louis XIV. The French King holds the provinces of Gelderland, Overijssel, and Utrecht captive in chains. On the left, Prince William III comes to the aid of the Dutch Maiden. At the bottom, the siege of Maastricht by the French.
