About this work

Sheet with a map of the Netherlands and the North Sea coast up to Le Havre combined with depictions of the three naval battles of the Third Anglo-Dutch War: the first two naval battles off the Zeeland coast on the Schoonevelt flats on June 7 and 14, and the battle at Kijkduin on August 21 between the fleet of the Republic under Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter and the combined English-French fleet under Prince Rupert and Count Jean d'Estrées. Upper left, Victory with medallions containing portraits of Willem III, Rabenhaupt, Johan Maurits, and others. Right, Fame with medallions containing portraits of Michiel Adriaenszoon de Ruyter, Cornelis Tromp, Banckert, and Van Nes.
