About this work

Demonstration of the fire hoses at the Town Hall on the Dam, ca. 1700. From the facade a jet of water is sprayed onto the Dam. In the air front and back of a commemorative medal and a sheet with a pump. Against the underside of the plate a second plate is printed with the title and 4 lines of text. Belongs to the supplementary prints in the Fire Hose Book of Jan van der Heyden.
